Himalayan Balsam

Yet another plant that is invading the waterways.
 This one escaped from gardens.
The seed pods burst, and fling their seeds huge distances.
 Then they just float downstream...

The flower is pretty but they are very prolific and invasive. A neighbour has some in her garden and they have spread to neighbour's yards are more numerous in her own this year.
