Watery Wednesday

I was in the park, watching the ducks and the geese,
when I realized the swans had been released for the summer.
You might think they are elegant birds,
but this guy was very busy explaining to the geese just who was the boss of this pond.
Look at the bow wave he is generating!
They will settle it all out in a week or so, but he must be tired today!

King of the Water, I would say!

I love your post about the red trilliums. I remember them from your post last year, and have been waiting for this years!

We have white trilliums here, but I have never seen a red one. How very beautiful they are!

Where I live the swans and geese - for the most - part tolerate each other rather well, but then there are dozens of them in the bay. Have you ever been to Stratford? They have quite the swan release parade there in the spring - and those swans do not like the geese on the river, at all!

Nice shots. I would love to see swans at any of the places I visit. No such luck... yet. Sorry about Mr. Linky. Its up now.
