Perennial Cornflower

These are Centaurea montana, rather than Centaurea cyanus, which we all know and love as bachelors buttons.

My daughter's comment when I was editing the next couple of photos was "This looks like an alien from TV, waiting to eat your face.

Oh, great, now it has claws so it can hold onto you!"

Beautiful pictures, but I'm glad they can't come through my monitor to take over my brain! Though MY daughter would say "you're safe, mom" - tee hee.
