I am encouraging the violets
and other small plants to colonize my lawn.
They are prettier than grass, and do not go brown in the heat of the summer.

Yay! Violets! They take me back to my childhood. :)
Ah violets. Some of my favorite springtime flowers. We have wild yellow wood violets that grow in the woods, and I go out and admire them all the time. I just can't seem to get a good shot though. How do you do that?
