Old Man's Whiskers

One of my houseplants bloomed. The only name I have for it is old man's whiskers. If you look at the leaves, you can see why.

The flowers are about half an inch across, and only last a couple of days.

That furry leaf looks soft. I have no idea what it is but it sure is cute.

Isn't that fun when that happens?! It looks a bit like 'wandering jew', my mother called them. Dunno. But if you do an image search for these names and see if you can verify it that way. Others can misname on-line, so I always check reliable sources, e.g., university, horticultural, etc.
My snake plant (sensievaria) bloomed this past week. Must be the warm sun in the window.
Ducks came back and are merrily bobbing for fish in the bay. Life is good!

As an old man I should object to the name you've given this plant, but it looks so wonderful that I won't complain. But I do need to go shave!

Fascinating plant. I've never seen one before! You did a wonderful job catching the personality of this beautiful flower!

A really lovely plant! I love the colour of the blossom and the hairy leaves and stems. I also enjoyed your icy pussywillows - an incredible picture!
Have a nice week ahead!
